About

One weekend in December my daughters and I were watching an all day Marathon of “Harry Potter” movies on the ABC Family Channel. Afterward my daughters went out to play and were acting out scenes from the “Harry Potter” movies using broken sticks off the tree as their magic wands.

My father’s hobby as long as I can remember had been whittlin’ or carving small animals and birds of all kinds. Well when my Father died I was given all of his carving equipment.

So that evening I told my daughters that I would try to make them real looking Wands with my Dad’s carving stuff for the next time they played “Harry Potter” out in the yard. I made their wands and they came out pretty decent and after a few days I was asked by pretty much every one of the kids in our neighborhood to make a Wand for them as well.

Then the requests for wands started to spread to other kids they went to school with and finally to my 8 year old’s whole entire class. It seemed the more and more Wands that I made the better and better that they started to come out.

Now since I am unable to work a regular job due to a spinal cord injury I came up with an idea at the encouragement of many of my friends to make a web-site of my own and begin to sell my wands online.

Since then I have been lucky enough to have the toy store WONDER WORKS show interest in my wands and is presently stocking them as one of their regular items.

Who knows maybe the next stop will be Universal Studios “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter”anything can happen, right?
